Anti-Ragging Committee
Objective
The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted to ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive, and ragging-free environment within the institution campus, hostels, transportation, and all academic or extracurricular activities. The committee works in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE, State Government, and other statutory authorities.
The primary objective of the committee is to prevent any form of ragging, harassment, intimidation, bullying, or misconduct among students and to promote healthy interaction, discipline, and mutual respect within the institution.
Functions
Roles and Responsibilities
Create awareness among students regarding anti-ragging laws, rules, and punishments.
Ensure strict compliance with UGC/AICTE anti-ragging regulations.
Monitor campus, classrooms, hostels, common areas, transportation, and events to prevent ragging activities.
Receive, investigate, and address complaints related to ragging in a confidential and fair manner.
Recommend appropriate disciplinary actions against students involved in ragging activities.
Conduct orientation programs, counseling sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns for students and parents.
Coordinate with faculty members, hostel wardens, student representatives, and local authorities whenever required.
Maintain records of complaints, actions taken, and preventive measures implemented by the institution.
Encourage students to report incidents without fear and ensure protection to complainants.
